Famous Imports

Located at 1605 E Amarillo Blvd, Amarillo, TX 79107, Famous Imports operates as an auto repair shop serving Amarillo in Texas. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Auto repair in the United States is split between independent shops, dealership service departments and national chains. Independents handle most routine work (oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, check-engine diagnostics) at lower labor rates and often specialize in one make or in imports; dealers keep factory tools, software and warranty authority; chains sell speed and standard pricing on maintenance items. Most shops charge a diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair if you go ahead, and quote parts and labor separately. Certification matters: look for ASE-certified technicians and, in many states, a state repair license posted at the counter. Written estimates are required by law in most states before work begins, and you are entitled to your old parts if you ask.

Hours are published for 5 days a week. The most common schedule is 10 am–2 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. No phone number is listed for this business, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best route for directions and any contact details Google has on file.

Its Google rating stands at 3.4 out of 5 from 5 reviews, which is below average for the category; consider the recent reviews carefully before visiting.

Getting around Amarillo is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot.
